The first Ler+ Award was instituted and first presented in October 2018, in the National Reading Plan annual conference. The award recognises personalities and groups that have encouraged and contributed to the development of reading and writing skills in Portugal. The trophy we designed is in the form of a book, made in polished steel with an embossed inscription. The piece honours the achievements of both nominees and winners, as well as the value of reading books.
